Need work, getting obsolete
By Nick45689143A lot of sounds for sure but very few updates or improvements over the years. People are going to trust other brands (e.g. Korg) because of updates. The GUI is no very good, also the multi mode interface pretty bad. What about au3 or separate controls for layered sounds ? The rating of this app keeps getting lower and lower. Hope in a comeback of this company in the iOS world. You have to use midi controller I promise it will speed up your flow awesome sounds.
By beatbeast91Use a midi controller it helps got some best sounds can’t find any were elsePricing Munipulation
By 1Roger ThatThe sounds are good and I will allow you your faith ( the object that tells you everything is going to be ok ) but the price YOU pay for it carries consequences you cannot fathom. I have given hundreds of what obviously is your faith and I hope you enjoy your temporary happiness. Give me the rest of what I paid for. I bought the app, the expanded, the pro, the grid, Miroslaw 1 and 2, the entire sonic synth package, cinematic percussion, orchestral percussion and the american acoustic. I have shaded choices in the instruments as well as shaded keys on instruments that can go further up or down the scales. Do not press me to use my voice further.Sounds great...but....
By Richard onFIREThis app has a lot of great sounds and features. I was surprised that you can do quite complicated layers and splits, which is awesome. It's so close to being great. However...The 'multis' have a lot of issues which essentially make this app unusable for live shows. Reordering is wonky - it swaps the positions instead of moving the item. Also, opening multis from other phones will prevent them from being re ordered at all. And the default order isn't even alphabetical - it appears random. If the ordering of multis were fixed I would give this app a 5/5 rather than 1/5.Tragic
By MacrofoneFeels kind of tragic to me. All I wanted was an iOS version of what we used to call a ROMpler—a solid collection of instrument samples in all the major categories, and this really could be a good one. I have an extensive collection of IK and third party SampleTank sounds on my computer and find they are pretty darn good.I feel the starter sound set here is a bit scant and the additional ones quite expensive for an app that does support AU—I would feel differently about the pricing in there were AU support.I knew going in that it didn’t support AU, but I thought perhaps I could use IAA or the onboard sequencer to get some work done and then export audio to my iOS DAW of choice, but this sequencer is a scratch pad at very best. Only records in 4/4, and you can only delete entire parts, not sections of a part.No MIDI editing. So it is a non-starter. Tried using it as a plugin in Beatmaker and it was a disaster. If you are going to try to lock your users into your sequencer it should be a thoughtful competitive one, I would think.IK, there is a big gaping need for a ROMpler sound collection, and yours could be it, but it is not. Until such time as this is as AU, it was a waste of my money and drive space.Make it an Audio Unit
By StrizbizThis app is getting trashed , when it actually a good app, but I’m sure if it were updated to be an Audio Unit it would get a lot better reviews. Personally I really barely use it at all anymore, even though I’ve sank a pretty decent amount of money into it buying in app purchases. I stopped buying them though because unless it becomes an Audio Unit, it’s eventually going to get deleted from my IPad.Midi Problem.
By U.K. anHi, seems no function upon changing midi channel, seems to be always in Omni. Thank you.Best app ever
By ar0_las3Good sounds... 2 bad you can’t use them
2The sounds are more than decent... unfortunately it seems the developer wants you to use the app exclusively. Too bad it lacks basic sequencer features and has no plug in support. Developers didn’t update to the Audiobus 3 sdk so now all that money I spent on in app purchases (<$100) is practically useless. Audiobus 2 is not even available any more so I’m just stuck with an 80s style sequencer where you can’t even edit notes and that blows. Make it a complete production environment or make it work with other apps otherwise quit!Feel Ripped Off, Buy Korg Gadge
By Unhappy45678140 sounds seems like a lot, but there are so many you’ll never use. And they skimp on the sounds you will use... not enough drums or basses. The bass selection is especially horrible. I purchased another 35 based for $10 (so expensive!!!). The real basses were good in the add on but the synth basses were horrible. This whole application is designed to make you buy more and more sounds. They show you all the sounds you don’t have as you use the app. And the choices for the sounds they give you just aren’t useful enough.More: The timing when you control it with external midi off by random milliseconds on every trigger. It is noticeable on drums.
